Customer of the Month: Chris

In need of a bit of inspo this month? We don’t blame you - March is often when people tend to lose motivation, especially if they started working out in the New Year, so we’re here today with a look at one of our fantastic customers from Ellesmere Port Sports Village.

A bit of background:

Name: Chris Age: 50 Original weight: 19 stone Current weight: 15 stone Chris, by his own admission, would never challenge his body. He wasn’t interested in getting active and found himself not wanting to join in with activities with his children. Seeing the fun he was missing out on though actually sparked the motivation for him to lose weight and improve his fitness - he realised he wanted to spend more time playing with his kids, and the only way that was going to happen was if he kicked himself into gear! What next? He started out by modifying his diet and cutting out fatty foods, which helped him drop a stone straight away. Then in August 2016, he took his first real step on his fitness journey and joined Ellesmere Port Sports Village. Starting on the Member Journey programme with Brad, our Gym and Fitness Lead at EPSV, he wasn’t quite convinced by his first workout. In fact, when we spoke to him about it, he described it as “horrible”! He still enjoyed it though and knew that just taking part in it was a huge victory for him. He started off with 20 minutes on the punch bag followed by a series of resistance based exercises that Brad tailored towards his weight loss goals. Since then he’s gone from strength to strength, shedding another 3 stone in around 7 months - a fantastic result! And now? Chris now has the get-up-and-go drive he previously lacked. Not only is he racing around with his little ones, but he’s actually encouraging the whole family to go out and do more activities together, so they can get all keep active! He’s 4 stone lighter, and his fitness levels are through the roof! Our Member Journey is a fantastic way to get the results you want.
