Getting the community active on National Fitness Day!

We’re looking forward to celebrating National Fitness Day this year on 26 September – will you be joining us?

As a nation, we should all come together and celebrate fitness and all the benefits of having that healthy lifestyle.

Sport England’s Active Lives survey shows that 61.8% of the population (aged 16+) in England are active, not bad but we can do better! There are so many health benefits to living an active lifestyle such as reduced risk of dementia, diabetes and improved mental wellbeing. Still, 11.5 million people in England are inactive, together we can make that change.

We’ve got lots of activities going on hosted by our centres, check out what you can get involved with below!

Ellesmere Port

The Ellesmere Port Sports Village team will be out and about running HIIT the Community sessions! These short HIIT workouts are completely free and everyone who takes part will get a free 7-day pass too.

Chester

HIIT The Street with the Northgate Arena team as they bring a free high-intensity workout to St Anne’s Park in Chester at 10.00am, and get yourself a free 7-day pass too!

There’ll also be a free HIIT session at the centre at 12.45pm, for anyone that wants to try it out!

Winsford

The Winsford Lifestyle Centre are doing 3 HIIT sessions across town, and everyone that gets involved will get a free 7-day pass and get entered into a prize draw for a family membership or Go Ape tickets!
